RHYME presented at Norwegian Conference on Music Therapy

Paper on Co-created Staging presented at RE-NEW conference

New tangible textile sensors under development

The two first weeks of May Birgitta Cappelen and Anders-Petter Andersson have been working on developing new tactile textile sensors for the new generation of prototypes at the Textile Department at Khio in Oslo. The challenge is to develop a tactile soft sensor which is easy and attractive to activate and gives multi coloured light output. Many textile techniques have been explored, like screen print, layering, lamination and chemical based burning out of fibers. We still haven’t found the right way to do it, some more ways have still to be explored.

Presentation at Haug May 10.

May 10. Karette Stensæth presented RHYME in two meetings for all relevant staff members at Haug School. The RHYME group, goals and Haugs participation were presented and discussed.

RHYME presented in Oslo and Trondheim

RHYME participants Even Ruud and Karette Stensæth organized and chaired the first Nordic Network of Research in Music, Culture and Health Conference (MUCH),  March 14-16, at Olavsgaard near Oslo. Many interesting discussions on RHYME related issues was initiated in the Music and Health network.

On March 14, Birgitta Cappelen presented RHYME in a guest lecture at the Department of Product Design at NTNU in Trondheim.

We started the testing at Haug

Friday March 4. we started the testing of Orfi at Haug School and Resource Centre. The testing is based on Action Research methodology, so we will perform changed actions every week.

Pilot testing at IFI

February 11. we installed Orfi in the bright and new Informatics building in Oslo, in order to go through the planned test at the Haug School. Luckely we had two children to test with at this time. The pictures below is from the testing session at the institute of Informatics. Many of our collegues also came to get an introduction to the project.

NRK’s Kulturnytt also visited us and made a nice piece on the project.
